Why now

Buyers stopped Googling

For builders, operators, and anyone with Cursor, Codex, Claude, or ChatGPT in their workflow, AI assistants have quietly replaced Google as the first stop for tool decisions. The category leader on Google is no longer the category leader on Claude, and the gap between them is increasingly the strategic story.

Every competitive intelligence tool on the market still measures the old channels. Korpora measures the new one.

The insight

Findings live between
the two layers

Most reports confirm what teams already suspect. The valuable ones surface contradictions between channels: a brand winning every traditional buyer signal but losing the agent layer (fixable with content density), or losing every traditional channel but winning the agent layer (rare, but it identifies a structural moat).

A real finding from a recent report

For one design partner, traditional CI showed the competitor with 4.2x the Google search volume and 4.3x the X engagement. The agent layer inverted the picture: 3.2x advantage to the smaller brand. The report identified the content-type asymmetry that produced the inversion and recommended how to defend it before the larger competitor figures out the mechanism.

The deliverable

What's in the report

~10-page PDF for humans, plus a JSON sidecar for your agent. Designed to read in 15 minutes and ship from this week.

Foundation channels

Reddit, X, GitHub, arXiv, Google Trends, Hacker News. Traditional channels measured so we can quantify how much discovery has migrated to the agent layer.

Agent layer

Install-decision queries run through Claude, GPT-5.5, Codex. Per-query mention share with Wilson 95% confidence intervals.

Velocity

Post-cutoff content rate vs pre-cutoff, by channel. A leading indicator of next-cycle AI mindshare, not just a snapshot of today.

Conversion ratios

Percentage points of AI mindshare each Reddit post or X engagement produces. Quantifies the moat or the gap.

Per-rival capability map

What every named competitor claims publicly, what they ship, and how they currently win or lose at the agent layer.

Engineering-actionable fix list

6-10 prioritized changes with target metrics and effort estimates. Concrete, not 'publish more content.'

The mechanism

How it works

  1. 1

    Scrape your category's foundation channels

Reddit, X, GitHub, arXiv, Hacker News, Google Trends, G2 where the category supports them. The same buyer signal that's already in the AI training corpora.

  2. 2

Run install-decision queries through 4 frontier models

Claude Sonnet, Claude Haiku, GPT-5.5, Codex. 144 cells per report across four query framings, 3 rounds for cross-round confidence.

  3. 3

    Cross-channel triangulate and cutoff-split

Foundation activity from before each model's training cutoff feeds the conversion ratios. Activity after the cutoff feeds the velocity metric that predicts next-cycle mindshare.

The story

Who built this

I built Korpora after noticing my own buying behavior had changed without me noticing. Every tool I picked to build this product (the deployment platform, the database, the scraping API, the AI SDKs, the libraries) came from asking my AI assistant. None came from Google, G2, Reddit, or any of the channels traditional CI tools measure.

I was a real buyer making real tooling decisions worth real money, and zero of those decisions touched the channels every other CI tool measures. Korpora is the answer to the obvious next question: if I'm buying like this, how is what I sell showing up for the buyers who buy the same way?
